A COMPLETE SET OF TESTS THAT CHECK: • Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) — hormone from pituitary influencing sperm production • Luteinising Hormone (LH) — stimulates testosterone production by Leydig cells • Total Testosterone — combined bound and free testosterone circulating in blood • Free Androgen Index (FAI) — ratio of total testosterone to SHBG, estimate of bioavailable androgen • Prolactin — pituitary hormone that can interfere with gonadal function • Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) — protein that binds testosterone, regulating its free (active) portion WHAT THIS TEST SUITE REVEALS: • Whether testosterone production is adequate or low, and whether the cause is primary (testicular) or secondary (pituitary) • How much testosterone is biologically active (via Free Androgen Index / SHBG) • Whether elevated prolactin is suppressing reproductive hormones and contributing to symptoms • If there is abnormal SHBG level affecting hormone availability • Insight into infertility, low libido, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism or hormonal imbalance in men • Helps clinicians select further diagnostic or therapeutic steps (imaging, hormone therapy)
